Rupert Potier MSc, BSc (Hons), PG Cert
Rupert’s mediation experience in private practice dates back to 2003 when he trained with CEDR (the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) and started co-mediating with some of the most respected and well-known commercial mediators in the UK, through CEDR Solve. Rupert has since been involved in successful mediations in both the public and private sectors.
Rupert subsequently completed a 3-year MSc in Conflict Resolution and Mediation studies at Birkbeck College, University of London, intensively studying the different theories and methods of mediation in order to hone his personal style. Since 2003, Rupert has attended and facilitated many 1- and 2-day Conflict Resolution courses. These include the National Coalition Building Institute’s (NCBI) Leadership Development Training and the Mankind Project’s (MKP) Leadership Training Parts 1, 2 & 3. In addition, he ran a series of Diversity Awareness workshops for MKP and Transitions Europe.
Rupert has also organised and spoken at various training days and seminars in the field of Criminal Justice whose attendees have included: the Lord Chief Justice Lord Phillips, various Magistrates and District Judges, the Metropolitan Police, Her Majesty’s Court Service and Members of Parliament, including James Brokenshire MP, David Burrowes MP and Anne Milton MP.
