British born Mary Stuart-Miller, aged 56, is a mother of three grown up children and following a long and successful career in journalism, PR and marketing, she found her true purpose and fulfilment in life. Two years ago she founded Project Rome, an initiative to inspire kindness and compassion back in society. Mary, her project partner Steve and their many volunteers provide hands-on support to those living without shelter in Rome, including hot, nutritious meals, good quality clothes and shoes. More significantly, she brings genuine affection and human warmth to the homeless. She works with some of the city’s most desperate and lonely people, many affected by addiction or dependency, and all of whom respect Project Rome’s unique and compassionate approach.
