Kathleen Parrish

Kathleen Parrish is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the Director of Clinical Services at Cottonwood Tucson. She has been an employee of Cottonwood Tucson since 2002. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1991. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Master of Arts Degree in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1999. Kathleen is an approved Clinical Supervisor for the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. In addition to her role at Cottonwood Tucson, Kathleen operates a small private practice where she provides individual, family and couples therapy. Kathleen’s work with trauma survivors spans over 25 years, using EMDR, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness. She has written articles for Counselor, Addiction Professional, Addiction Today and Arizona Together magazines. She is the co-author of “The Essence of Resilience: Stories of Triumph over Trauma,” (HCI Books, 2016). She has presented seminars on trauma and eating disorders in the United States and Europe.
