Dr Michael McCann MB BCh MA DIH MD MFOM is a Member of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, he has worked in Occupational Health for the past 30 years. He has worked in South Africa and the UK in such diverse organisations as the Pharmaceutical Industry, Pulp, Paper and Forestry, County Council Fire Brigade and Police and as a consultant to International Health provider, International SOS.
He received a Doctorate in Medicine for his work on alcohol problems in the workplace and he has written two books on the subject. His latest book from 2018 is "Alcohol, Drugs and Employment". This book is designed to be a reference book for health professionals as well as management and human resources to assist them in dealing with the often-challenging cases of substance abuse which they may be faced with. He has written various pamphlets for Organisations including “Caring for Alcohol Problems in the Workplace”. He is a non-Executive Director of Castle Craig Hospital, an addiction hospital in Scotland.
