Dr Jeffrey Kamlet

Medical Doctor and Clinical Trials Principle Investigator , Jeffery D. Kamlet, M.D.

Dr. Kamlet got his Bachelor of Science(BS) Degree, Cum Laude from Fairleigh Dickenson University.

He went on to study advanced Human Anatomy at New York University and attended Medical School at the Autonomous University of Medicine, Guadalajara Mexico. While in Mexico he had the opportunity to work closely with the Huichol Indians studying and writing about their use of Peyote as a sacrament.

Dr. Kamlet received his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1982 from the State University of New York(SUNY)and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at various hospitals associated with the State University of New York, New York University and The Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

He also went on to take advanced training in Neurology and moved to Miami, Florida in 1988 to do a Cardiology Fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.

He spent the next decade working at several directorship positions in South Florida Emergency Medical Departments. He also severed as Chief Medical Director for a local municipality Emergency Medical Service/Fire Rescue, service. He was a co-editor the American Heart Association’s, Advanced Cardiac Life Support manual.

He was an Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advance Pediatric Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support provider and instructor for many years.

Dr. Kamlet later went into private practice and became Board Certified in Addiction Medicine and one of the first to receive Diplomate status with American Board of Addiction Medicine. He twice served as President of the Florida Society of Addiction Medicine.

He has served as an Adjunct and Associate Professor of Medicine at various universities including University of Miami, Barry University and NOVA University.

He was the first physician to study and administer Ibogaine in a clinical trial setting.

Dr. Kamlet has personally supervised over 1000 Ibogaine treatments and serves as the Chief Medical Advisor as well as Editor in Chief of the Global Ibogaine Therapeutic Alliance (GITA’s) Clinical Guidelines for Ibogaine-Assisted Detoxification.

Dr. Kamlet continues to practice Internal Medicine, Addiction Medicine and Pain Management in Miami Beach, Florida and has served as the principal investigator for 20 major FDA clinical trials for major pharmaceutical companies.
