Dr Anne Guy

Secretariat Coordinator, Cross Party Group for Prescribed Drug Dependence

Dr Anne Guy, UKCP (Reg), MBACP (Accred) is a psychotherapist currently in private practice, having previously worked as lecturer at the University of Roehampton. She is a member of the Council for Evidence-Based Psychiatry and the secretariat co-ordinator for the APPG for Prescribed Drug Dependence.

She is the lead editor and Steering Group Chair for the “Guidance for Psychological Therapists: Enabling Conversations with Clients Taking or Withdrawing from Psychiatric Drugs” created in collaboration with leading UK therapy organisations and academics.

She has co-authored two reports for the APPG; one analysing the systemic issues underlying patient experiences of prescribed drug dependence & the other describing four current service models for supporting prescribed drug dependence in the UK.

Prior to training as a therapist, she worked as a senior manager in financial services with a focus on process design and improvement.
