iCAAD Paris happened on November the 22nd, 2016. It was a conference that addressed the new outcomes and development with regards to treating addictive disorders. Participants were invited to explore addictive disorders from a bio-psycho-social integrated perspective and underlying co-morbidity.
The main themes of the conference were:
- Multiple addictive complex system disorders.
- The relevance of childhood traumatic experiences in developing subsequent addictive and personality disorders and their treatment.
- Relapse prevention strategies.

Professor Jonathan Chick - Medical Director at Castle Craig
Professor Chick has published a number of clinical and academic researches and is chief editor of the scientific journal Alcohol and Alcoholism.
David Delapalme/Gérard Chevalier - David and Gérard are
bilingual Psychotherapists based in Paris and London.
They co-founded ACTEnow Practise in 2009. They co-authored the White Paper: “Addictions: s’en sortir, c’est possible”. Taking from their own bi-cultural experiences and backgrounds, they have managed to integrate the most recent methods of treatment from the other side of the Atlantic and the Channel regarding addictive disorders.
Christophe Sauerwein - a psychotherapist specialised in
treating childhood trauma and subsequent multiple addictive disorders in
He has completed several clinical surveys evidencing their links. He is one of the rare French therapists to have culturally transposed Anglo-Saxon therapy models.
